on your mark, get set......

Thank you everyone who came to my project MONDAY party - I know you all are as busy as I am, so I think I will opt to hold this party once a month.
How about the second Monday of every month????
So your next chance to participate will be November 8(I'll give y'all a heads up the week before.)That gives you two whole weeks to put something together - with the holidays right around the corner, that shouldn't be too difficult!

OK, the real reason I am writing today is to tell you that I will be making a HUGE announcement this week.

It's HUGE.

I'll give you a teensy, weensy hint.

(ok, so I've never been clever at keeping secrets)

So, keep checking in with me....

It could happen any day now.
(and there may or may not be a give-away involved)

Excited?

I am.

project MONDAY II ~ Victorian Rose Pin

Welcome to project MONDAY II!

project MONDAY
I want to share an easy, fun and CHEAP project with you this week.
I created a ribbon rose corsage pin several years ago and taught a class in making them using this handout:

Several months ago I made scads of this updated version and they sold out!
I made it from an ivory grosgrain wired ribbon and dunked it in some strong tea overnight to "age" it. I made the center from a pearl hat pin that I'd dipped in Elmer's glue and silver glitter. (just poke it through the center of your flower and snip off the excess on the back - you might want to add a drop of glue here too)

So easy and they make fabulous gifts.

So what are YOU working on????

You know the drill....

blogs, babies and give-aways!

She has a gift.

A serious gift.

She also has an adorable wee boy, who she writes about.

Remember the nursery she and her husband created?

But I digress....

She is having a give-away next week here on her blog.

This is what she is giving away:
Look familiar?

I wrote about them HERE.

So you'd better hop on over to her blog....

Tell her hi for me!

One more thing...

Thanks to everyone who participated in the very first project MONDAY!

Stay tuned for the next one...
See ya...

project MONDAY!

I have so enjoyed the many different blog themes lately - I've even participated in a few of them.

There's...

 White Wednesday....

And now...

introducing....

for the first time ever....

When I started this blog, my intention was to inspire creativity.

What better way to do that than to share a project that I am struggling with working on and ask you to share your own works-in-progress.

It's sort of a party!
Whether it is a home decorating idea, a craft project, a recipe, graphic design, a cool holiday decoration, scrapbooking designs....

It doesn't matter ~ the sky's the limit!!!

So here's what you do:

1. Join the party and do a "project MONDAY" post.

2. Add a link to your actual blog post (not just your blog!) below.

3. Grab this button...
project MONDAY

(here's the code to copy & paste!)
...to direct your readers back to this blog so they can see all of the wonderful projects y'all are working on.
That's it!

You have until the following Sunday night to accept this challenge....

This only works if YOU participate, so please, please, PLEEEEEZE join my little party!

I'll start us off...
I get many comments at shows about my rake/necklace holder...
It's quite easy to make, and though I use it for displaying my jewelry, it could totally translate into a fun conversation starter in the home.

Here is a step by step tutorial.
supplies: rake, pvc pipe cut to length), bucket and Plaster of Paris

I glued the pipe (or sleeve) to hold it in the center.

prepare Plaster of Paris as per directions on box, then pour into bucket around sleeve.

let it set up for an hour or so - insert rake.

put the entire thing into a prettier container - like this rusty urn!

or this terracotta pot - then add scrunched up kraft paper, burlap,or even moss to hide the ugly insides...

Now wasn't that fun???!!!!

Until we meet again....here's where you link up:

See ya!

I love old silver.

I especially love the silver egg and basket I told you all about a long, long time ago.

This Monday I will be revealing a brand new opportunity for YOU to share projects you are working on.

I'm calling it....

(get it?)
So you have all weekend to think about what you'd like to share.
